Millions of women still live in poverty, right now as we speak. In many cases, it is caused by a low income, endless debt, few possessions, lack of access to education, and shortcomings in social and economic opportunities. Buzz Women teaches women how to improve their quality of life on their own.
We take a pragmatic approach by bringing education closer to home. Our buses drive to different villages daily around the Indian and African countryside to give women (often for the first time) the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and create financial awareness for themselves. They are given insights into their own financial situation, they learn how to earn and save more, and how to spend less.
Buzz Women is also active at a fundamental level—we explore the deeply rooted causes of poverty, and work towards self-empowerment and developing self-confidence. We help make women more aware of they how can overcome their current circumstances. These opportunities are not only offered to girls and women—boys and men are included too.
Our ambition is to reach 10 million women by 2030. We believe that this ambition will reveal on a large scale what happens when women are given access to education and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
